The College provides facilities of free studentship and scholarship to the poor-cum-meritorious students. Help from Social Service Guild and University Students AID Fund are also given to the Poor-cum-meritorious students. Freeship and other financial help can't be claim as a matter of right. It depends on satisfactory conduct and progress in study. If students awarded freeship and other financial help fail to receive the same in the current academic session, they can't claim it in the next year. Besides, the deserving meritorious students can avail any of the scholarships of the State Govt. and Central Govt. as given below SCHOLARSHIP AND STIPENDS 1. JUNIOR COLLEGE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP - (i) The Scholarship is awarded to the students on the results of Annual HSC Examination. Selection is Made purely on the merit basis which is done by the State Govt. (ii) Merit Scholarship for childrenof primary and Secondary teacher is available from Govt of India. The Students must have secured at least 60% marks in the HSC Examination to avail it. 2. SENIOR COLLEGE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP : (i) This Scholarship is awarded to the students on the result of the Annual +2 Arts/Science/Commerce Examination. The Scholarship awarded purely on merit basis. (ii) Children of Freedom fighters who have passed the HSC exam are eligible to apply for the stipend at +2 and +3 level provided that the monthly income of such freedom fighters doesn't exceed Rs. 300/- (iii) Govt of India Post matric Scholarship to the SC and ST students are also available and the same is distributed by the Collector of the District. 3. NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP OF GOVT OF INIDA Selection of receipients of this scholarship is made by the BSE, Odisha on the basis of HSE Examination under intimation to the selected students. 4.GOVT OF INDIA SCHOLARSHIP TO THE BLIND DEAF AND PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED : The Students who are awarded this scholarship should be between 13 to 30 years old and should have secured at least 40% of marks at the previous Annual Examination. 5. STATE GOVT. STIPEND : This is awarded to the Physically Challenged students in the post matric stage on the basis of the marks secured at the Annual HSC Examination. The Applicant should have secured at Least 40% of marks and should be within 30 years of age. The Value scholarship is Rs: 30/- P.M. 6. NATIONAL LOAN SCHOLARSHIP : This is awarded to the students inside India only at the post matric stage. Awards are made on the result of any of the qualifying examinations conducted by the BSE/CHSE. Note - Detailed information regarding any of the above scholarship, stipend is to be had from the college office.
1. Students who are above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class XII of the 10+2 pattern or equivalent. Pursuing regular degree courses and not correspondence or distance mode or pursuing Diploma courses.
2. Pursuing courses at colleges/institutions recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education and respective Regulatory Bodies concerned.
3. Not availing the benefit of any other scholarship schemes, including State-run scholarship schemes/fee waiver & reimbursement schemes.
4. Students with gross parental/family income up to Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum are eligible for scholarships under the scheme. An income certificate will be required only for fresh applicants.
5. Students changing their college/institute of study will be allowed to continue/renew the scholarship provided the course of study and the institution have a valid AISHE Code. The AISHE code can be checked on the portal https://aishe.gov.in/aishe/aisheCode.
6. Students who missed applying for renewal of the application online on NSP will be allowed to apply for renewal of the scholarship for the subsequent year on NSP if they fulfill the eligibility conditions for renewal.
7. For renewal of the scholarship each year of study, besides getting at least 50% marks in the Annual Examination, maintaining adequate attendance of at least 75% will also be a criterion. Complaints against the student regarding any indiscipline or criminal behavior, including any complaints of indulging in ragging, will lead to the forfeiture of the scholarship.
8. Beneficiaries/Applicants under the scheme must apply online on the National Scholarships Portal (www.scholarships.gov.in) for fresh/renewal scholarships. Fresh/Renewal applications sent directly to the Ministry of Education shall not be accepted.
Students belonging to reserved categories/weaker sections/minorities, etc., are eligible to get the benefit of reservation based on merit, subject to the Central Reservation Policy [i.e., 15% of seats are earmarked for SCs, 7.5% for STs, 27% for OBCs, and 5% horizontal reservation for students with Benchmark Disabilities (Disability of 40% or more) in all the categories]. The Central Reservation Policy will be applicable in filling the slots against each year's target. If slots under a specific group are not filled after considering all the States/UTs, the vacant slots will be allocated to other categories so that the maximum number of eligible students can get the benefit, subject to the overall ceiling of slots.
1. The scholarships are open only to Indian nationals.
2. All components of scholarships are open to students with benchmark disabilities, i.e., 40% or more disability as defined in the ‘Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016,’ and having a valid certificate of disability issued by the competent authority as prescribed under Rules.
3. No more than two children with disabilities of the same parents will be entitled to receive benefits of the scheme. In the case of twins, the scholarship under the scheme will be admissible to both twins.
4. A scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, he/she would not get a scholarship for that class for a second (or subsequent) year.
5. A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend. No scholarship will be paid to the students under this scheme from the date they accept any other scholarship/stipend.
